Kraków’s triathlon celebration will begin on Saturday morning with a 5 km run around Wawel Castle and along the Vistula River. The main race will start on Sunday at Zakrzówek. The organisers confirm that everything is ready.
For the second time, Kraków will host the world’s most famous triathlon series. After the success of last year’s event, it was clear that interest among athletes would continue to grow. And that is exactly what happened. More than 2,000 athletes will take part in Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków, an increase of more than 10 percent compared to last year. When relay athletes, Good Morning Run participants and young athletes taking part in the kids’ races are included, the total rises to more than 3,700 participants.
Last year’s first edition of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków was spectacular. It was probably the best event I have ever had the pleasure of organising. From swimming in the magical Zakrzówek to the finish line in the Main Market Square, Kraków impressed triathletes from all over the world, and I am sure it will be the same this time.
Iza Lisiecka – IRONMAN Poland Coordinator
Statistics show that hosting IRONMAN races is a great way to support the growth of sports tourism in Kraków. Tomasz Marzec, Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board in Kraków, spoke about this during today’s press conference.
We know that IRONMAN Poland events bring real benefits to the local economy, and we can clearly see their impact. They also help build Kraków’s recognition and image around the world.
Tomasz Marzec – Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board in Kraków
Director Marzec’s words were echoed by Witold Kozłowski, Deputy Marshal of the Małopolska Region, who recalled some of the biggest sporting events hosted in Kraków in recent years.
Kraków and Małopolska have great experience in organising major events, gained during the 2023 European Games. Triathletes who come here for this race fall in love with Kraków, Bochnia and the whole Małopolska region.
Witold Kozłowski – Deputy Marshal of the Małopolska Region
Bochnia plays a special and unique role in Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków. Located less than 50 kilometres from the centre of Kraków, the city is an important point on the bike course. The turnaround is located in Bochnia’s Market Square, where athletes begin their journey back towards Kraków. Just like last year, a large fan zone is being prepared in the Market Square.
We live and breathe this race. A large group of our residents will be competing on the course, and the fan zone in Bochnia’s Market Square will once again be loud and full of energy. Sport is about emotions, beautiful emotions. We can build beautiful streets, pavements and parks, but what really matters is how we fill these places and who they serve. Events such as Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków create great friendships and beautiful memories that connect people with a place. And that is priceless.
Magdalena Łacna – Mayor of Bochnia
Bochnia has already become a symbol of the commitment and creativity of its residents. For many athletes, the support they received there is one of their strongest memories from last year’s race. Kacper Stępniak, who won in Kraków in 2025, said during today’s press conference that the support in Bochnia and Kraków gives triathletes a unique boost.
In Kraków, you can really feel the support from the fans. There are so many of them here. On top of that, there is a beautiful swim and a bike course with a turnaround in the incredibly energetic city of Bochnia. All of this makes this race stand out from the others.
Kacper Stępniak – winner of IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków 2025
This year, Kacper wants to defend his title as the “champion of Kraków”, although he knows that the competition will be very strong. Agnieszka Gadomska has also come to Małopolska after winning Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia two weeks ago. With no pressure to achieve a specific result, she is treating the race in Kraków as a chance to simply enjoy the competition.
Racing in Gdynia was very special for me. It was my first victory in the PRO category and I qualified for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. I believe there are still many successes ahead of me, and for now I am happy to have the chance to race on this beautiful course in Kraków. I plan to enjoy every kilometre.

Relay teams made up of Citi Handlowy employees, bank clients and para athletes representing the Polish Paralympic Committee will also compete in Kraków.
As Citi Handlowy’s #NiezwykłaDrużyna, we are active all year round. Now it’s time for Kraków! Twelve amazing Citi Handlowy relay teams will be on the start line, as always made up of our employees, clients and partners, including para athletes. And they are the ones we want to put in the spotlight. Their sporting achievements show that the joy of sport is for everyone. Together, we support the Polish Paralympic Committee’s “Be Active” project because we believe that everyone can enjoy sport, celebrate their achievements and personal bests, and push their own limits.
Paulina Harembska, ambassador, coordinator and athlete of Citi Handlowy’s Niezwykła Drużyna
A unique athlete will also take on the course in Kraków: Mateusz Krzyżanowski, known as Mini Majk. He is an influencer who gained popularity, among other things, through MMA fights. What makes him stand out is his height. Mini Majk is a person of short stature and the first athlete of his height in Poland, and the second in the world, to have the chance to complete an IRONMAN 70.3 race.
I am taking part in a race like this as the first person of short stature in Poland. I would like to inspire others who may think they are not good enough or that this is not for them. I believe I can do it. I am not setting myself any goal when it comes to the result. My goal is simply to finish the race.

The triathlon weekend in Kraków will begin on Friday, when the event village opens at Szczepański Square, with plenty of attractions waiting for residents and visitors. The largest zone has been prepared by the event’s title sponsor, Enea.
Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków will be an opportunity not only to cheer on the athletes, but also to spend time together in the zones prepared by Enea. At the Main Market Square, next to the Cloth Hall, and at Szczepański Square, visitors will find attractions combining sport, education and creative fun. These will include 3D pens, Buzz Wire, a Ninja reaction tester, Nintendo Switch, an AI photo booth, a photo wall and a station where visitors can create their own banners to cheer on the athletes. Participants will also receive special activity cards, stickers and prizes. The race in Kraków is not only about competition on the course. It is also about thousands of fans and residents of Kraków and the surrounding area who come together to create the unique atmosphere of the event. We are happy to be part of this celebration of sport and to support an initiative that inspires people to be active and live a healthy lifestyle. We wish all athletes good luck, satisfaction with their results and many reasons to be proud after crossing the finish line!
Grzegorz Kinelski – President of Enea
It is worth saving some time on Saturday evening. At 21:30, a breathtaking spectacle will begin: a spectacular drone show over the Vistula River. The show will feature elements representing triathlon, as well as references to Kraków’s traditions. The Vistula Boulevards will be the best place to watch the show.
