Less than two weeks remain until the start of IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków. The organizers have revealed the race courses and the attractions awaiting the spectators.

The triathlon weekend in Kraków will begin on Saturday morning (2 August). At 09:00, runners will take their marks at the start of the Good Morning Run Kraków, covering a 5-kilometre route. Both the start and finish lines are located at the Main Market Square, with the course guiding participants toward Wawel Castle and the Vistula Boulevards.

Most of the Good Morning Run Kraków route has been laid out on roads closed to vehicle traffic. Traffic restrictions will be in effect only between 08:00 and 10:00 on the Main Market Square and the following streets: Grodzka, Podzamcze, Czerwieński Boulevard, Inflancki Boulevard, Bernardyńska, and Adam Studziński Square.

The Youngest Take the Start

That same day at noon, the Main Market Square will be taken over by children as the Pho3nix IRONKIDS Kraków competition gets underway. The youngest athletes – depending on their age – will cover distances ranging from 100 to 1500 metres. The courses will be set up directly on the Main Market Square, near Św. Anny, Bracka, and Grodzka streets. Registration for Pho3nix IRONKIDS Kraków is still open.

Sunday Marked by IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków

The main event of the weekend – IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków – will begin on Sunday, 3 August at 08:00. That’s when the first triathletes will take to the swimming course in the Zakrzówek Lagoon, covering a distance of 1900 metres in the water. After exiting the scenic reservoir, they will head to the T1 transition zone located on Wyłom Street, where their bikes will be waiting.

Bike

The bike route of the Kraków competition first heads east, toward Wieliczka and Bochnia, along national road number 94. A turnaround point is planned at the market square in Bochnia, after which participants will return along the same route back toward Kraków. The cycling distance totals 90 kilometres.

Run

The final stage of IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków is a half marathon. It will begin at the T2 transition zone, located at the Kraków West School Sports Centre (Międzyszkolny Ośrodek Sportowy Kraków Zachód) near Plac na Groblach. The run course consists of 3 loops along the Vistula Boulevards, Grodzka Street, and the Main Market Square — including the final stretch to the finish line, the total distance is 21.1 km. Naturally, the finish line of IRONMAN 70.3 Kraków will be set in the Main Market Square, in the very heart of the city.

Urban Game for Spectators

Along the run course, there will be designated fan zones offering a variety of attractions. Spectators are encouraged to move between locations and take part in the urban game. To join, simply pick up a map at the Info Point on the Main Market Square, then visit each fan zone with the map in hand and collect stamps. Those who collect a full set will be able to claim IRONMAN Poland merchandise.
